I would highly recommend going with a friend because 2nd and Charles is more than just a store-it is an experience. While some stuff is a bit pricey, most of the stock available is definitely worth it. The store features gaming areas, in which customers can try out games before they buy, or just hang out with friends. Speaking from personal experience, it is bad that you can afford so much, because you can end up spending all your money there. You can buy five comic books and get five more free. You can get plenty of movies for just a couple dollars each. While some of the store is comparable to Barnes and Noble, other sections are really cheap. The pricing is actually amazing for the store. Plenty of people grab books they may want to purchase and read a chapter or two before making a decision. The trade-in value at 2nd & Charles seems to be more of a gimmick to get bodies into the store and it is my only complaint thus far about the store. Since 2nd and Charles isn’t a big company and still growing, unless you are willing to travel and they aren’t close to each other (which they will only pay a GM to move) then good luck. Granted, I understand this is an extremely small sample size, but it does seem to indicate that 2nd & Charles pricing strategy may be closer to GameStop’s than I had originally expected. No room to grow unless you want to travel. This adds to the store in that you can shop and relax at the same time. Being full time I got the hours but I was way under paid for my skills. There is also a section in the middle where you can play video games on chairs with friends. If you’re not selling, you can find lots of great deals on used and new merchandise. One has a table, the other comfortable chairs to sit on, so anyone can find a place to relax at the store. There is an area at the front and the back where you can sit to read or work. However, this store is more than just a place to shop. If you are looking for a gift for a friend, this place will have plenty of options. The store has a shocking amount of variety to choose from. They sell movies, books, video games, board games, comic books, merchandise, game consoles, instruments, toys and a whole lot more. However, when you turn to look at the rest of the store, you are greeted by a massive selection of just about everything you could want. That is their primary objective as a store. The store is an interesting spin on the traditional music buyback store.Ģnd and Charles will buy any used movies, books, games and more that you don’t want anymore. 2nd and Charles also sells a variety of instruments, such as these guitars and ukuleles.Ģnd and Charles is a store new to Fort Collins that opened in Front Range Village in November, in place of the old Sports Authority.
